Benetton Solution Ltd., commonly referred to simply as Benetton, was a Formula 1 constructor that participated by 1986 to 2001. The team was owned with the Benetton family who run an international chain of clothing stores in the same name. In 2000 the staff was purchased by Renault, but competed as Benetton with the 2000 and 2001 seasons. In 2002 the team became Renault F1.The Benetton Group entered Formula One to be a sponsor company for Tyrrell within 1983, then Alfa Romeo in 1984 and 1985 and lastly Toleman in 1985. In the 1994 season Benetton eliminated a fuel filter in the refueling rig used during pit stops.
