During the 1994 season Benetton eliminated a fuel filter in the refueling rig used during pit stops. This may have ended in a fire that was held during Jos Verstappen's primary pitstop at Hockenheim. This resulted in further inquiries by the FIA, during which, the refuelling rig manufacturer clarified that in their opinion the modification might have resulted in 10% higher flow rates compared to rules allowed[citation needed]. Again the team proceeded to go without substantial punishment.
