Benetton System Ltd., commonly referred to purely as Benetton, was a Formula One constructor that participated via 1986 to 2001. The team was owned because of the Benetton family who run an internationally chain of clothing stores in the same name. In 2000 the group was purchased by Renault, but competed as Benetton for that 2000 and 2001 seasons.
